ice creamWelcome to Day 23 of my personal month-late NaPoWriMo challenge. You can check out my previous post here, or click here for Day 1.

Prompt 23: Guilty Pleasures

Write a poem about a guilty pleasure of yours. Do you really enjoy watching a TV show that you’re embarrassed to admit you’re crazy about because it’s so so stupid? Do you always have to do the thing that you’re not supposed to do because it’s just so strangely satisfying? Things like picking a scab off your knee. It hurts. It’s awful. But it’s satisfying, isn’t it? When you eat that last bite of rich chocolate cake at Christmas. Why? Why do you do this to yourself? Why do you listen to that awful band? But you love it. Write about that.

If you try this, or any of the prompts I’m sharing throughout this month, let me know! If you try a prompt on your blog, share the link! I’ll check it out.

I also love to read any thoughts or writing tips you may have. Feel free to share them in the comments!
